Christopher Burk is a painter based in Columbus, Ohio, recognized for his distinctive representation of stillness in the landscape. He transforms often-overlooked environments into moments of contemplation, finding profound beauty in everyday outdoor surroundings. Burk’s work has earned significant recognition including a Visual Arts Fellowship from the Greater Columbus Arts Council and the Columbus Museum of Art, a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, and numerous Individual Excellence Awards from the Ohio Arts Council. He has completed residencies at the Josef & Anni Albers Foundation in Connecticut, Vermont Studio Center, and the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Dresden Artist Exchange in Germany.
