Jacky Boehm (b. 1995) is a Portland-born, Brooklyn-based abstract representational painter. Her work explores transformation and the relationship between organic and constructed forms. Boehm’s compositions bring together abstract realms, ornamental structures, and figurative elements, creating layered works that move between abstraction and figuration.
Working with highly fluid acrylics on raw, hand-stretched canvas, she builds amorphous fields of color directed across the surface. These abstract environments are anchored by figures, constructed shapes, and naturalistic formations, creating a dialogue around transformation and the conjoining of disparate elements.
A self-taught artist, Boehm has been developing her practice for over eight years. Her work has been featured in Brooklyn galleries including Harsh Collective and Baci Studios.
